Restaurant was established in March, 1990 by two proprietors/chefs:
Mr. Eddy E.Budisantoso
and
Mr. Nisman Thahar.
We specialize in the cuisine of Indonesia, many of our "House Specialities" are found nowhere else in America, we also feature favorite dishes from Java, Bali, Sunda, Padang, and other provinces so that you have a gastronomic tour of Indonesia, if you wish, at one meal!
We pride ourselves in serving consistently outstanding Indonesian authentic cuisine. Our staff is courteous and knowledgeable and providing consistently excellent service. Our restaurant decor is clean and attractive and the ambiance, congenial. Our wine list has the depth, breadth and balance to compliment our cuisine!
Dining at Jakarta Restaurant can be adventurous and fun experience for those who are familiar with the South East Asian culinary. Indonesian food has lots of peanut sauces!
Our philosophy is manifested in our cuisine, we strive to use only the freshest ingredients, the finest meat, herbs and vegetables available on the marketplace.
We are in particular, do great things with vegetables, dishes such as Gado-Gado, Sayurkari and Ketoprak, are good enough to convert a carnivore to the vegetarian course.
Dinners, offered Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 - 10:00 PM. Please refer to dinner menu for details.
Private dining and banquet facilities, and customized menu are available for your special occasion or celebration. Please contact our manager for more information.
For our new customers, may we recommend our "Rijsttafel Menu", which includes at least eight (8) of our favorite dishes for you to tour the Indonesian Style of Dining experience.
